Ugandan celebrity couple Zari Hassan and Shakib Lutaaya are facing challenges in their relationship following a recent incident involving Zari’s ex, Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz.
The drama unfolded when Diamond unexpectedly visited Zari’s South African home to celebrate their daughter Latiffah’s birthday.
Shakib, who resides in Kampala, was reportedly upset by the visit, accusing Zari of maintaining a close relationship with her ex.
He was mad. He questioned me on why I didn’t tell him Diamond was coming. He said maybe I’m still in love with the father of my children.
Zari explained that she had no prior knowledge of Diamond’s visit, which was arranged by others living in her house.
Zari further clarified that Diamond had stopped contacting her directly due to Shakib’s presence.
Instead, he requested the phone numbers of people who live at Zari’s home so he could communicate with his children. Zari provided him with the number of one of her housemaids, who later gave Diamond the access code to the apartment.

Despite the ongoing tension, Zari insists that she cannot prevent Diamond from seeing his children, as he continues to provide for their needs and even contributed to the birthday preparations.
