In Uganda, Parliament recently granted leave to Bugiri Municipality Member of Parliament, Asuman Basalirwa to introduce a private member’s Bill titled the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, 2023.
The Bill seeks to prohibit any form of sexual relations between persons of the same sex and prohibit the promotion or recognition of such relations.

However, some Ugandans are not in support of the Bill.

Close friends say that a popular female celebrity with a lavish house is Makindye is not a fan of biringanya (egg plants). While it is hard to confirm because no proof has been availed, she hangs around in a company of only girls. Insiders say after buying her meals expensive booze, she preys on them for “drinking her expensive whiskeys”.
