    Somalia’s all-women media team breaking the stereotypes

    A UN 2022 report showed that Somali women journalists face high rates of sexism and harassment not only in society but in the workplace.

    In a bid to combat these challenges, Bilan was formed.

    Bilan is Somalia’s first and only all-female media unit.
