MC Ollo made a surprising return to NBS Television, after a brief seven-month stint at NTV Uganda and he explains why.
The media personality, who had spent several years at NBS before his move, is back at the station, and the reason behind his return is rooted in his deep connection with the Gen Z audience.
While appearing on Sanyuka TV, MC Ollo explained that a conversation with Kin Kariisa, the Managing Director of Next Media heavily influenced his decision to return to NBS.
Kariisa recognized MC Ollo’s unique ability to appeal to the Gen Z demographic, a quality that the station was keen to leverage.
Kariisa understood that I grasp the needs of Gen Z. He knew that I am the person, the president of this generation, and what we need. He called me back and said, ‘Come back home.’
Ollo says Kariisa’s plans for Next Media include building a network tailored to the interests and needs of the Gen Z audience and he needed him to be part of it.
