Gravity Omutujju openly expressed his frustration after his concert, Embaga ya Isma n’Amina, fell short of expectations.

The event, held at Lugogo Cricket Oval, attracted only a few hundred attendees, a disappointing turnout for such a large venue.

The concert, held on a Saturday night, clashed with three other major shows: one at the nearby Zoe Grounds, and two others at Kampala Sheraton and Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo where Mikie Wine was holding his.

This competition likely contributed to the low audience numbers, leaving Gravity to perform before a much smaller crowd than anticipated.

When he finally took the stage a few minutes before midnight, Gravity was met with yet another challenge—a technical malfunction. A microphone failure during his entrance, which included a fireworks display, traditional dance performances, and acrobatics, disrupted the show. The glitch persisted for several minutes, further dampening the concert’s energy.

Once the issue was resolved, Gravity performed some of his hit songs but later paused to vent his frustration at the event’s organizer, Balaam Barugahara, whom he blamed for the technical shortcomings.

“Balaam can no longer manage sound; he is just destroying people’s careers,” the rapper fumed. He also revealed that Balaam had been paid Shs. 50 million for the sound equipment, yet it had failed him.

In his angry tirade, Gravity declared that he would be the last artist to use Balaam’s equipment for concerts. “These machines should be used at their (political) rallies but never again at concerts,” he emphasized.
