Vumbula Uganda Festival is back bigger and better. Set to take place from October 25th to 27th, 2024, this year’s edition promises an extraordinary experience, blending Uganda’s rich cultural heritage with breathtaking performances, vibrant art, and unmatched adventure.

This year’s festival will be headlined by Elijah Kitaka, known for his soulful acoustic performances that are sure to captivate the audience. Attendees will also be treated to vibrant cultural troupe performances that celebrate Uganda’s rich traditions through dance and music. Furthermore, there will be a dedicated tourism exhibition area where festival-goers can explore Uganda’s diverse tourism offerings.

At a media launch held on Friday at the Villa restaurant and Lounge in Kampala, Demo Riley, the Chief Executive Officer of Vumbula Uganda, enthusiastically remarked, “We are a consistent and sustainable brand that responds to our community’s needs to enhance the tourism experience with each edition. This time, anticipate a safe and extraordinary celebration of our beautiful country, Uganda. Rest assured we have collaborated with top security agencies to ensure maximum safety throughout the three-day event.”

Since its inception in 2021, Vumbula Uganda Festival has grown into a must-attend event, attracting over 5,000 adventure lovers from across the globe. The festival has successfully positioned itself as a catalyst for promoting domestic tourism, with notable sponsorships from Stanbic Bank, Busoga Kingdom, and the Ministry of Tourism.

Jean Akullo, the Public Relations Officer of Vumbula Uganda, shared; “We have grown exponentially over the years. Unlike previous editions, we are going all out with a more memorable experience and an impressive lineup of headliners like Elijah Kitaka as we continue to celebrate raw Ugandan talent. Expect the best tourism showcases, outstanding performances, and exciting contributions from our great sponsors.”

Vumbula Uganda Festival is more than just an event; it’s a movement that has a significant impact on the local economy. The festival contributes to increased tourism, with a ripple effect that benefits tour operators, accommodation facilities, and the hospitality economy in Jinja. It also aligns with sustainable tourism goals through the #GreeningTheNile initiative, which aims to plant 10 million trees by 2030.
