Eddy Yawe has taken a strong stance against the playing of explicit music in public and private spaces, arguing that it has no place in the environments where we live and socialize.

Eddy Yawe, who’s a music producer, songwriter, guitarist, and recording artist, has built a reputation for creating music that’s enjoyed by audiences without resorting to vulgarity.

I am really not happy with such kind of music. I just hate it, and whenever I hear vulgar music playing anywhere, I excuse myself from such a place. That music shouldn’t be played in public.

Yawe’s concerns are rooted in his belief that vulgar music does not contribute to the growth of the industry. Instead, he advocates for music that educates and uplifts, emphasizing that such music has a timeless quality.

He pointed to his song “Onoba,” which has remained popular for the last eighteen years, as an example of the kind of enduring music he believes artists should strive to create.

People are still dancing to my song ‘Onoba’; it has been on for the last eighteen years. I advise them to record good music that doesn’t go against our beliefs and culture.
