Renowned Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo has once again made it clear that he has no intention of entering the political arena, despite his recent appointment as a Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives.

In a recent media interview, Kenzo emphasized that his focus remains solely on uniting and empowering creatives, rather than pursuing a political career.

I’m not a politician, don’t even expect me to stand for any position,” Kenzo stated firmly, addressing ongoing rumors that he might one day transition into politics.

These speculations have persisted due to his significant influence and achievements in the entertainment industry.

Kenzo’s new advisory role has sparked conversations about his potential involvement in politics. However, the singer remains committed to using his platform to support the creative sector, highlighting the impact that artists and entertainers can have on society.

As a global music icon and a key figure in Uganda’s entertainment scene, Eddy Kenzo continues to inspire many, but he insists that his contributions will be through artistic and cultural avenues, not through political office.
