Media personality Douglas Lwanga has expressed strong support for singer Eddy Kenzo’s recent appointment as a Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Lwanga believes that Kenzo is the ideal choice for the role, citing his remarkable achievements in the music industry, particularly on the international stage.

To me, I think Kenzo is the best in this position. This is because of his achievements in music on the international level. This would be beneficial not only to Uganda but also to East Africa as a region,” Lwanga stated during his interview on Kasuku Live YouTube channel.

He emphasized that Kenzo’s extensive exposure on global platforms such as festivals, concerts, and award shows makes him uniquely qualified for the role.

Lwanga also shared his vision for Kenzo’s new position, suggesting that it should function more as an ambassadorial role, focusing on promoting Ugandan talent on international platforms.

I see his new role as a Presidential Advisor that should be more of an ambassador of Uganda when it comes to promoting talents on international platforms like Afro Nation, Warner Africa Festivals. It should be more of an ambassador role than concentrating locally,” he added.

Kenzo, a celebrated Ugandan musician, has gained international recognition for his work, making him a prominent figure in the creative industry.

His new role is expected to enhance Uganda’s presence on the global cultural stage, further boosting the visibility of East African talent.
