Police this morning took to Juuko zone in Makindye division, Kampala, to investigate circumstances under which a 19- year- old girl was beheaded in a domestic brawl and her killer lynched.

The deceased Rukundo Sharon, a housewife, was brutally killed by her own partner, Kude, in a vicious attack that’s left the community reeling.

Patrick Onyango, the KMP spokesman says the couple, who had been cohabiting for two years, were known for their rocky relationship, riddled with violent confrontations. However, two weeks ago, Rukundo had had enough and moved out, seeking refuge at her aunt’s place in the same zone, where she worked at Aunt Joan’s Restaurant.

But this morning, just after 9 am, Kude had other plans. He called Rukundo’s aunt, threatening to unleash hell if she didnt release his wife and sadly, he lived up to his promise.

Onyango says Kude attacked and viciously beheaded Sharon. But before he could escape, an enraged mob caught up with him and unleashed their own deadly vengeance, beating him to death on the spot.

According to Onyango, the bodies of both Sharon and Kude have been taken to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem.

Onyango is advising couples to seek peaceful solutions and warning the public not to turn to mob justice.
