Kasangati territorial police are investigating an attack at St. Edward College Galamba in Gombe Division, Wakiso District.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, unknown people attacked the college at around 1am Thursday morning and killed a security guard 29-year-old Christopher Anguyo and seriously injured his colleague, a 26-year-old Caesar Okwanga.

He is currently hospitalized at Mulago National Specialized Hospital. Owoyesigyire says that police were informed immediately of the incident and they responded promptly.

“Officers visited the crime scene, which has been preserved and documented. A rope with suspected blood stains, a damaged bow, and arrows was recovered from the scene. The deceased’s phone was also found,” he said in a statement.

According to Owoyesigyire, police are yet to establish the motive of the attack.

“The motive of the murder is currently unknown since nothing is missing at school. We would like to assure the public that we will do everything in our power to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the safety of everyone in the community,” he said.

“No arrests have been made yet, but the police have launched a full investigation to apprehend the culprits,” he added.

Owoyesigyire said that the deceased body is lying at the City Mortuary pending postmortem.
