Former Uganda Police Assistant Inspector General of Police Asan Kasingye is under fire on social media following a controversial tweet he made about local Actress Martha Kay Kagimba.
On Tuesday, via X, Martha Kay tweeted; “Confidence is sooo attractive. Whenever you send a message and delete it, you lose confidence points. Stop!”
The tweet fetched a few reactions including Asan Kasingye’s. In his tweet, the “Tweeting Cop” wrote, “Even when you post your nudes accidentally? Be serious.”
The tweet immediately fetched reactions from netizens most of whom wondered how insensitive he could be to remind Martha Kay of one of the worst moments of her life when her nudes leaked in 2022.
Asan Kasingye responded with an apology in which he also vowed to take a one-month break from X.
My post in response to @MarthaKayug was an innocent banter. It was not intended to insinuate anything. Having realised the impact, I deleted it & will not make any post on this platform for a month wef from tonight the 7th of Aug. I apologise for the inconvenience it has caused.
