Asingjay, a UK-based singer, songwriter, and socialite originally from Uganda, is making waves with her unique musical blend that bridges African rhythms and Western influences.

Her talent spans multiple genres, including Afrobeat, Reggae, Roots, Dancehall, Soul, and Hip Hop, making her a versatile and dynamic artist.

Born in Uganda, Asingjay moved to the UK to further her education, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree with honors and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

However, her passion for music, which she nurtured from childhood, continued to grow stronger. In the UK, she sought opportunities to fulfill her dream of becoming a professional musician.

Asingjay immersed herself in the vibrant London music scene by volunteering for various charities and joining choirs and music groups.

These collectives, supported by professional musicians, helped her hone her skills. Her talent and dedication led to performances on some of London’s most prestigious stages, including the Royal Festival Hall, Hackney Empire, Southbank Centre, Riverside Studios, Hammersmith with the Tête à Tête Opera Festival, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

    Asingjay as a solo artist:

As a solo artist, Asingjay has recorded a full album titled “Mpuliriza (Listen to Me)”, available on all major music platforms.

Her singles and music videos, also accessible on these platforms, reflect her deep connection to her Ugandan roots while showcasing her ability to connect with a global audience.

Asingjay’s music is heavily influenced by traditional Ugandan sounds, but she has expanded her reach in London by collaborating with producers and musicians from various cultural backgrounds. Her performances are a vibrant mix of powerful vocals, energetic dance, and positive messages, embodying the essence of “Modern Africa.”

This fusion of African roots with Western styles and soul creates a rich, innovative musical experience.

She has also formed the Karibu Band UK, a group that performs songs inspired by untold stories from Uganda and African communities.

Their music blends contemporary African styles with elements of Western popular music, drawing comparisons to the likes of Elly Wamala, Afrigo Band, Tina Turner, and Nina Simone.

In addition to her musical talents, Asingjay’s skills as a teacher have made her the chief lyricist and vocal melody writer for her projects.

She is known for bringing vibrant energy to every performance, ensuring that her audiences enjoy a lively, spirited, and unforgettable experience.

Her shows are a guaranteed soul-uplift, leaving those in attendance with lasting memories of her electrifying live performances.

    Let us embrace Asingjay!
