Prominent Ugandan musician Edrisah Musuuza, popularly known as Eddy Kenzo, was recently appointed as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives, marking a significant development in the country’s arts and creative industry.

This new role highlights the government’s focus on promoting and supporting the creative sector, an area that is increasingly recognized for its potential to contribute to the nation’s cultural and economic growth.

As Senior Presidential Advisor on Arts and Creatives, Eddy Kenzo is expected to assume a variety of responsibilities aimed at fostering the development and global recognition of Uganda’s creative industry.

His duties will encompass several key areas:

Policy Development: One of his primary tasks will be to craft policies and initiatives that support the growth and development of the arts and creative sector. These policies will aim to provide a framework that nurtures creativity and innovation across the industry.
