Catherine Kusasira, a presidential advisor, has hit back at critics questioning her English skills, confidently stating that the President made a wise decision by appointing her.
This comes amidst growing scrutiny from some members of the public regarding her communication skills. Kusasira believes her role as an advisor is based on her merits and capabilities, not her language fluency.
The singer also commented on Eddy Kenzo’s recent appointment as a Senior Presidential Adviser on creatives, clarifying that his selection has no bearing on her own role within the president’s advisory team.
Kusasira emphasized that she has been fulfilling her duties effectively, but she missed the meeting in which Kenzo was appointed due to not being informed or invited.
Kusasira also addressed the clash of concert dates with Spice Diana, dispelling rumors of bad blood between the two.
She clarified that there were no ill intentions in selecting the same concert date, and the scheduling conflict was purely coincidental.
Spice Diana is like a daughter to me, and I love her dearly. Our concerts just happened to fall on the same date. When I booked mine, I had no idea about hers. But Uganda has a big market, and there’s enough room for both of us to thrive.
