A 28-year- old man in Mityana has allegedly murdered his wife after accusing her of hiding his hard-earned money.

According to reports, the suspect, Tumusime Samuel fueled by rage, confronted his wife, Nabisinde Margret, 35, over missing cash he believed she had stashed away. What started as a heated argument quickly escalated into a horrifying attack, leaving the woman dead in her own home. Neighbors said they heard the couple arguing earlier in the day but never imagined it would end in bloodshed.

“We heard screaming and when we rushed over, it was too late. We knew they had problems, but no one thought it would come to this.” one Kato narrated

The man has been arrested and is now in police custody, facing murder charges.

While details are still emerging, sources suggest the man believed his wife had been secretly hiding his money, possibly for months. But was this a real case of hidden cash or just a misunderstanding that spiraled out of control?

Racheal Kawala, the Wamala Region police spokesman confirmed the incident. She notes that Tumusime first alleged that his wife suffered injuries from an accident, however, witnesses informed police of what they heard transpired.

She further explains that a drunken Tumusime returned from the bar on that fateful night and used a chair and struck Nabisinde with it, leading to her untimely death.
