Comic duo Sammie and Shawa recently found themselves at the center of a heated controversy after releasing a skit that seemed to make light of Bobi Wine’s injury during a police confrontation in Bulindo.

What the comedians initially defended as harmless humor quickly turned into a storm of criticism from the public, with many accusing the duo of insensitivity.

As the backlash grew, comedian Teacher Mpamire added his voice to the condemnation, urging fellow entertainers to avoid turning serious matters into jokes.

He emphasized the importance of respecting sensitive issues, particularly those affecting prominent figures like Bobi Wine, who continues to face political challenges in Uganda.
