    UK’s leading ABBA tribute act, ABBA Re-Björn is set to rock Kampala on Friday, 6th and Saturday, 7th September 2024, powered by I&M Bank Uganda and Uganda Breweries Ltd (UBL).

    UK’s leading ABBA tribute act, ABBA Re-Björn is set to rock Kampala on Friday, 6th and Saturday, 7th September 2024, in what will be their debut performance in Uganda.

    The event, that is powered by I&M Bank Uganda and Uganda Breweries Ltd (UBL), under their premium gin brands—Gordon’s Gin and Tanqueray, will be held at Somewhere Else Bar and Restaurant in Naguru.

    During a press briefing to announce the event, Peter Bowser, the event promoter, and proprietor of Somewhere Else, assured the press that all is set, and promised fun and enjoyment for all attendees come next weekend.

    “Now that we have such amazing partners in I&M Bank, and UBL, I wish to assure you and all ABBA fans out there, that we’re more than ready to host a world class event. Our team has put in a lot of effort to make sure this event is as memorable as it should be. And our partners have made it even easier. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone come ready to have a great time, as we reminisce about the good old days, and create new memories to cherish,” Bowser said.

    Bowser added that revelers who show up in ABBA-inspired attire- like groovy suits, bellbottom jeans, or disco-ready spandex catsuits, will receive special recognition.

    Tickets to each show are on sale at UGX 150,000, and can be accessed on Quicket. However, I&M Bank Mastercard holders will enjoy a 10% discount on ticket purchased using their cards.

    Bowser also emphasized that tickets to the event are limited, as each show will only be able to accommodate 400 attendees.

    I&M Bank has recently collaborated with numerous musical events across various genres. Nakiyaga explained that the bank’s partnership with ABBA Re-Björn will offer their clients who enjoy the iconic 70s and 80s pop sounds and disco a chance to relive and celebrate that unforgettable era.

    Uganda Breweries Ltd, will on the either hand, ensure that the show goers have their thirst quenched as they sing along at the concert, with Gordon’s Gin and Tanqueray on the menu.

    “As UBL, we pride ourselves in having a rich catalogue of drinks. We will be able to cater for everyone’s needs from a consumption perspective. We shall have bottle offers, on top of our expert mixologists that will make cocktails to suit every pallet,” said Brian Balaba, the Reserve Manager at UBL.

    Kabira Country Club, Muwafu Holdings, Equator Catering, Travelcare Uganda, and Nation Media Group, are the other sponsors for the event.

    ABBA Re- Björn comprises of talented and professional singers, who together make the most authentic sounding tribute to one of the greatest and best loved bands of all time. With their Swedish accents, tight harmonies, high energy performance, and replica costumes, you are guaranteed to be dancing the night away.
