Video director, Sasha Vybz opened up about the challenges he faced while filming the music video for Jose Chameleone’s hit song “Wale Wale.”

Sasha Vybz admitted that this particular project was one of the most stressful of his career.

The challenges began from the onset, as Sasha Vybz was fresh out of film school and relatively new to the industry. Despite his inexperience, he was determined to make the “Wale Wale” video a success. However, things did not go as smoothly as planned.

The video shoot took place in Karamoja, a remote area in Uganda, and was riddled with numerous difficulties.

Sasha recalled that the team had to transport nearly 20 people, including young kids, dancers, and bouncers, to the location. Once there, their troubles escalated when their vehicle broke down, and the equipment they brought malfunctioned. As if that wasn’t enough, the weather turned against them with heavy rains, which further delayed the shoot.

Initially planned as a one-day shoot, the project ended up extending into a second day due to these unforeseen setbacks.

To make matters worse, Jose Chameleone, the star of the video, became frustrated by the delays. “It reached around 1 PM, and Chameleone told me he was leaving to go and sleep,” Sasha recounted.
