The Uganda Musicians Federation (UNMF) and the newly appointed senior presidential advisor, Eddy Kenzo, has broken their silence following his surprise appointment.

This marks the first time Kenzo has publicly addressed the news since it was announced.

Eddy Kenzo, who is widely known as one of Uganda’s most successful musicians, shared his thoughts and feelings about the new role.

Despite his success in the music industry, Kenzo is among the less formally educated musicians in the country, having dropped out of school during his secondary education.

His appointment as a presidential advisor has left many of his fans and the public in shock, especially given his educational background.

In his statement, Kenzo emphasized that leadership does not necessarily require a high level of formal education.

He expressed his gratitude and considered the appointment a blessing. “I am very lucky and blessed that I was chosen to be a presidential advisor,” he stated.

Kenzo also highlighted his deep understanding of the music industry, noting that his experience equips him well to address the challenges faced by both established and upcoming musicians in Uganda.

I know people will say whatever they can, but I will stay focused on my role, and I will do it to my best. That is all needed, nothing more and nothing less.
