    Sammy Okanya granted cash bail in ‘common nuisance’ case

    Da Mighty Family comedian Sammy Okanya was granted a cash bail of Shs. 500,000 by the Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate on Monday 19th August 2024.

    The controversial comedian and activist had been charged with being a common nuisance and remanded to Luzira prison following the #March2Parliament protests which took place in July.

    Sammy Okanya had earlier been arraigned before court in absence of his lawyers having been sneaked into the court premises.
